This prayer helps to deconstruct a false narrative of God, self and others formed through life experiences and then rebuild it with God’s true narrative. Scripture says, “The truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) In essence, it is an internal truth encounter with Christ.

Listening Prayer is learning to discern God’s personal thoughts for yourself and your situation. It’s seeking His inner guidance. People in Scripture did this all the time. As believers, we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16). He doesn’t want to be a silent partner in our journey.
